Welcome to insanity! I hope you will enjoy it here. This blog contains my writings (fantasy, mostly, though I hope to include more genres one day), and will eventually be filled with NaNoWriMo craziness, information about my characters, story excerpts, and posts about my fictional world.
God bless! :) Don't forget to leave a comment, and feel free to ask questions!

Character Profile -- Syleh

Syleh's father trained her most of her life, though he never told her why. She just accepted it, knowing nothing else.
Syleh’s father disappeared not long after she turned 16. No one in the village seemed to know where he had gone, or why. After searching for answers, she had reason to believe he had been killed by those he had been working against for the past 20 years. After her father’s disappearance, she found a note hidden among his things. The date at the top was from about a week before his disappearance. It didn’t give much information, but simply said that if something were to ever happen to him that she was to find the leader of the organization. She was not concerned with the project at first, but instead continued her training for another year. Having forgotten of her father’s project, she decided to hunt down anyone who was involved in his death and kill them. It slowly consumed her every thought and became the one thing she was determined to do before her death. About a month after leaving the village, she began having strange dreams, usually involving her death. They were very vivid, and often depicted the same man. He looked familiar to her, but she didn’t know why.

Syleh, because of her training, can usually think very quickly. However, that usually happens after she has already taken action. Often she will do something, only to realize it would have been best to wait and think more about the situation.

Personality type: ISTP

Syleh can be strong under pressure, and thinks quickly, but she often overestimates herself and does not consider what the consequences may be for her actions. She isn’t necessarily self-centered, but she doesn’t think about others. Her main goal in life is destroying her father’s enemies, until she remembers he had asked her to continue his project. Because she didn’t begin that work immediately she has to face the results of that choice.

She doesn’t really think about where people came from. She thinks that creation is possible, but doesn’t really believe any certain theory. Something made the earth long ago, but she doesn’t know what or how. She doesn’t think it affects her life, so she doesn’t worry about it.Syleh doesn’t really care what happens after death, although she assumes people just disappear. She believes everyone has one life, and when they die it’s over. No afterlife, no second chances.Syleh doesn’t practice any religion. But of course, that changes later.

At first she seems cold. She isn’t very friendly to new people. She also seems rather heartless and cocky. She’s afraid of things she can’t control. She hates death. She tries to hide her moods, but there are still subtle hints. She rarely admits what she is thinking.

She is about 5’9”, fairly thin and muscled (but not to the point it’s really obvious). She is fit from all the exercise she gets every day. Syleh has never really been in a fight, but she has been trained to use a sword or knife, as well as what to do if she were to lose her weapon. She knows archery, but doesn’t use it for combat. She often taunts her foes in an attempt to distract them, and moves quickly when they least expect.
Her hair reaches her lower back, and she often leaves it down, or pulls most of it into a loose bun, leaving the front part hanging in front of her ears. It is a golden brown, with a reddish tint in bright sunlight.
Her eyebrows are slightly darker than her hair, and very thin.
Her eyes are a deep blue, nearly black. Her gaze can be unnerving, which she uses to her advantage. It seems that she is looking into their mind. She often seems to be glaring at people.
Her nose is thin and turns up slightly at the end.
Her smile is quite pretty, if she allows someone to see it.
Her ears are round, and nearly pointed at the top. Her left ear sticks out slightly and will often show through her hair.
Her chin is round, almost like a small child.
Her hands are strong for a girl’s, with long dexterous fingers. She has several calluses from handling weapons.
She has a fair complexion, and burns easily rather than tanning. Her skin is almost like that of a toddler.
She is strong for her age, and muscles are can be slightly seen in her arms and legs, but she still has a feminine, teen shape. She has a slightly deeper voice than some girls, and it often sounds cold and challenging. She enjoys taunting her foes before striking. However, she also sounds very thoughtful at times.
She speaks like those around her… she isn’t particularly concerned about grammar, although she doesn’t sound uneducated. She wears a simple loose, belted tunic, and pants, that allow for movement. She will sometimes wear clothes that belonged to her mother, or ones her father bought her not long before her death. Most are ones she has made.
She always carries a knife strapped to her belt, and one hidden under her tunic, and also a sword if she is going to be very far from her house for more than a few hours.
She wears a silver ring of her mother’s on her right ring finger, and a small pendant from her father on a thin gold chain under her tunic.
